Verizon prices iPhone Handoff at $10. Apple's carrier list does not name Verizon yet.

Verizon's October 16 release prices iPhone Handoff at $10 a month on iOS 27. Apple's support page lists T-Mobile and Telekom. It does not list Verizon.

The short version

Verizon's October 16, 2026 release says Handoff will cost $10 a month on compatible iPhones running iOS 27, and that it is coming soon. Apple's support page says one number is active on one iPhone at a time, and its carrier list names T-Mobile in the United States and Telekom in Germany. 9to5Mac reports T-Mobile at $5 and Telekom's MultiSIM price at 6.95 euro.

Ten dollars, on Verizon's own release

Verizon's newsroom post of October 16, 2026 says the company will support iPhone Handoff. The feature, in that post, is one Verizon number used across two compatible iPhones running iOS 27, including iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo. The customer switches which device is the active one and keeps the carrier's 5G network. The price in the post is $10 a month. The timing in the post is coming soon. A fee with no start date is still a fee. It is not yet a line on a bill.the rated capacity.

Apple's page describes the switch, then names two carriers

Apple's support article says Handoff uses one phone number on two devices. Calls, voicemail, and messages move to the iPhone the person is using. Both phones need iOS 27, the same Apple Account, Wi-Fi, Messages in iCloud, and an eSIM from a supporting carrier. The carrier list on the page this brief read is short: T-Mobile in the United States, Telekom in Germany. A support page can lag a carrier announcement. The lag is the disagreement. Verizon's release says it will offer the feature. Apple's list, as read for this brief, does not yet include Verizon.the mobile desk.

One phone is active

Apple says the number is active on only one iPhone at a time, and that a passcode should stay on so a person controls which phone wakes into the number. An Apple Watch does not follow the switch. Deleting an eSIM may not stop the carrier's charge until the customer asks. Those are limits on the feature, separate from the monthly price. Verizon's release does not restate the watch limit. Apple's page does not restate Verizon's $10.Futureweb.

The other prices, as 9to5Mac reports them

9to5Mac's October 16 account says T-Mobile confirmed $5 a month and Deutsche Telekom placed the feature on its MultiSIM service at 6.95 euro unless the plan already includes it. It says Verizon's $10 is twice T-Mobile's price. It also says AT&T, asked earlier by CNET, had not committed to the feature and pointed at existing eSIM transfer tools. That AT&T sentence is 9to5Mac's account of another outlet's question. This page will not upgrade it into an AT&T document.the preorder window.

Coming soon is not October 23

The Verizon release mixes two calendars. iPhone Duo pre-orders begin October 16 and the phone is in stores October 23. Handoff is a separate paragraph that says coming soon and names the price. A reader who treats store day as Handoff day is merging lines the release kept apart. The preorder brief already covers the window for the phone. This brief covers the fee. A carrier account is not a key the customer mints.the key stays with the holder.

What a carrier fee means on Apple's page

Apple's article says carrier fees might apply and sends the reader to the carrier. That sentence is wide enough to include $0, $5, $10, or a bundle. It does not confirm Verizon's number. The confirmation is the Verizon post. The Apple page is the setup rules and the carrier list. Both can be current and still disagree about whether Verizon is live. Asked directly, What does Apple say about which phone is active? The number is active on one iPhone at a time. Unlocking the phone the person wants to use moves the number. Some carrier settings, including call forwarding and caller ID, stay on the phone Apple calls the main iPhone.

What would close the gap

An Apple support revision that adds Verizon to the carrier list, with or without the $10, would close the list gap. A Verizon support page with a start date would close the calendar gap. A bill that shows the charge would close the question of whether coming soon has arrived. None of those three is the document this page has today. Asked directly, Which carriers does Apple's support page list? Under the eSIM requirement, the page this brief read lists T-Mobile for the United States and Telekom for Germany. Verizon is not in that list. The page also says carrier fees might apply and tells the reader to ask the carrier.the paper.

Who is in scope

Verizon customers with two compatible iPhones on iOS 27, if the feature launches on the terms the release states. T-Mobile and Telekom customers are in scope of Apple's current list, at the prices 9to5Mac reports for those carriers. A person with one phone has nothing to hand off. Asked directly, What does Verizon say the fee buys? One Verizon number across two compatible iPhones on iOS 27, including iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo, with the customer switching which phone is active. The release says the feature is coming soon and costs $10 a month.

What stays specific

Verizon, $10 a month, iOS 27, coming soon, one active phone. Apple's list, T-Mobile and Telekom. 9to5Mac's report of $5 and 6.95 euro. The Duo's store date is a neighboring sentence, not this fee's start date. The short answer this page will stand on is this: Verizon's October 16, 2026 release says Handoff will cost $10 a month on compatible iPhones running iOS 27, and that it is coming soon. Apple's support page says one number is active on one iPhone at a time, and its carrier list names T-Mobile in the United States and Telekom in Germany. 9to5Mac reports T-Mobile at $5 and Telekom's MultiSIM price at 6.95 euro.
